Marketing strategies for a Plumber

Be easy to find when the hot water cylinder explodes.

When people need you, they need you now. Your website should be packed with the common keywords people are searching for in your area, like “Emergency plumber Napier” or “plumber near me”.

Then it’s all about using Google Search Ads to promote your core services: installs, renovations, emergency repairs. Someone Googles it and you’re right there at the top.

But getting found is only half the battle. All over Google, social media and your website, you need a reputation as strong as your 6am coffee. We’re talking:

  • Google Reviews
  • Clear-as-day website pages for each service
  • Meta Ads to re-engage previous website visitors

That’s what we call watertight marketing…

Marketing strategies for an E-Commerce Brand

Obsess over the purchase process just as much as the advertising.

Most people won’t hand over their credit card on day one. They’ll look. Leave. Come back. Forget. See an ad. Read a review. Open an email. Come back again.

So first things first, analyse what’s working and what isn’t. Where are buyers dropping off? Before you spend a single dollar on ads, your checkout experience must be flawless.

Then, we’d start Meta Catalogue Ads, Google Shopping Ads, and email marketing automations:

  • Abandon Browse / Cart / Checkout
  • Welcome Series
  • Customer Winback Series
  • Customer Thank You
  • Review Requests (after they’ve purchased)

Ads put your products in the spotlight, and automations make sure the person actually hits “Add to Cart”. That’s your marketing in the bag…

Bonus tip:

For marketing to work, there absolutely has to be an iconic, memorable brand identity. Packaging, colour, and personality your diehard fans can recognise at a glance. You’re competing with the World Wide Web; make sure you’re distinctive. Click to discover our Branding Services…

Marketing strategies for a Law Firm

Give them a little something for free.

When someone thinks “Oh no I need a lawyer”, are they going to find you? That’s why we’d lean heavily towards Lead Magnets and SEO for the problems your dream clients have:

  • “Download the First-time Home Buyer’s Guide”
  • “Does Your Will Need Updating?” Quiz
  • “See our Lease Checklist for Business Owners”
  • “Legal Health Check for SMEs”
  • “7 legal mistakes people make before calling a lawyer”

It’s not enough to advertise property law or dispute resolution; you have to show that you’ll give clients the smoothest experience during a stressful process. Give them case studies, too. Show the problem, how you handled it, and what life looked like for them on the other side. Trust is doing the heavy lifting here.

Once you have the solid bones, show up on Google Search Ads, email marketing, Facebook, Instagram, and, for commercial law, LinkedIn.

Case closed.

How to market a new business

Don’t be everywhere all at once. Focus on being memorable where it matters.

The best startup marketing strategy is the one you can keep up with, because it’s too easy to burn yourself out faking big-corporate capacity. At this stage of the game, you need a big impact from small efforts. That means one core goal at a time:

  1. Build.
Be easy to find online. Give people somewhere to land: A website, Instagram page, Google Business Profile.
  2. Attract.
Use social media to lure your target audience in with content that’s entertaining, educational, or engaging. Don’t try to push the sales on them just yet.
  3. Nurture.
Give ‘em the answers they want. Create content that shows you understand their deepest darkest desires. Answers = Trust.
  4. Convert.
When you’ve laid the groundwork, you’re finally ready to give them that final nudge. Always, always make a song and dance about the benefits they’ll get.
  5. Retain.
After they’ve purchased from you, roll out the red carpet. Give them every reason to come back.

Want to know what we’d do for your business marketing?

Every marketing client we work with starts with the strategy.

Who you’re trying to reach

What makes them choose you

Where they’re already looking

What’s stopping them from taking the next step

We create your marketing plan around that, because that’s what turns into real conversions.

Not what’s on trend or what your competitors are doing, but what actually makes an impact.

Curious what that means for your brand?
